Sins of a Ruthless Rogue - Anna Randol Note: I received an electronic ARC of this title from the publisher. This book's terrible cover and generic and totally irrelevant title mask a fast-paced, exciting, intrigue-filled historical romance. Some things that make this book stand out from the HR crowd:* Spies. I love spy romances. Why aren't there more of them?* Russian setting. The book starts out in England but quickly relocates to wintry Russia. Great change of pace!* Romantic conflict that doesn't stem from stupid misunderstandings that could be cleared up with a 10-minute explanation (a romance pet peeve of mine).* Heroine who is not a spy but can hold her ground among them nevertheless.* Hero who overcomes most of his protective impulses to just sit back and be proud of the heroine for being awesome in the face of danger. After devouring this book in less than 24 hours, I'm really excited to go back and read the first book in the trilogy, [b:Sins of a Virgin|13478338|Sins of a Virgin (Sinners Trio, #1)|Anna Randol|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331923534s/13478338.jpg|19009737], even if the title makes me gag (who comes up with this crap?).
